NEVER SAY NEVER – AGE IS JUST A NUMBER

Willie and Frances are the oldest couples that I’ve ever had to the opportunity to work with, as far as weddings go. So, it did initially throw me for a loop! I’ve only worked with clients around my age or younger and I felt like I could relate to that age group a little bit more. So, how can I relate to a couple that is much older than me (ok, probably not that much older) and not disrespect them in any way I asked myself? No, I certainly wasn’t going to turn this venture down. So, I “rolled” with it.

I spoke a lot with Mrs. Frances over the phone and by facebook messaging. She was pretty “hip”, she had an facebook account for starters. I typically get to know my clients well before the wedding, but in this case, it wasn’t until the finally rehearsal that I was given the chance to officially meet the couple. They were an upbeat and down to earth couple. They were so excited that I was there. After all the introductions, they carried on in their normal character, which threw me for a second loop! They can’t be that much older than me, I thought! I began to see their personalities come out and they were some of coolest folks I’ve seen.

They were brave and willing to try out anything I suggested. The ceremony was beautiful and at the reception Willie and Frances laughed, played, and enjoyed the moment, their wedding, new life, and their youthfulness!

At the end of the day, I really thought about what I saw and captured that beautiful October day and I came to this conclusion: “We should never say never when it comes to true love and age is just a number!”
