LOVE BIRDS’ LOVE STORY
This is truly a story about two love birds who crossed paths by pure fate. You see, Orah Jr. and Tomeka were once on separate paths serving their communities in ministry and leading in Praise & Worship. Before long, the two crossed paths and found the others’ talent and ability to be undeniably attractive. One day I was conversing with Mr. Orah Jr, who is some years younger than I, and I so happened to be joking with him about when he was going to get married, to which he replied, “This year in October”. I couldn’t help but think that he was pulling my chain, but he was serious this time. I was really honored to take on this wedding, all joking aside.
Details, Details, Details….
After talking to the couple on the phone, I sensed that they were doing some serious planning. I was impressed, upon my early arrival to the wedding, with all the crew that was in charge of decorating the church and reception venue. They had enough decorations to detail a city.
The Wedding & Reception
What can I say, besides, “you had to be there!” Here is just a quick overview: there was a live band, two praise dancers, a church full of witnesses and much more. The Mr. Orah Jr serenaded Tomeka with a song that he wrote from his heart. Tomeka didn’t disappoint either, when she sang “Love You I Do,” by Jennifer Hudson at the reception. Boy, what a time!
